  1. CROCK POT POTATO SOUP

    Ingredients:
    • 8 large potatoes, cubed
    • 1 cup cubed ham
    • 1 cup chopped onion
    • 2 sticks chopped celery
    • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
    • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
    • 2 tablespoons dry parsley flakes
    • ½ tsp garlic powder
    • 6 cup water
    • 2 cup milk
    • 1/2 cup flour, mixed with water
    Preparation:
    Place potatoes, onions, butter, bouillon, parsley, and water in the slow cooker/Crock Pot and cook all day on low to medium. 1/2 hour to one hour before serving; add milk and flour mixture. After the soup thickens, it is ready to serve.
    Note: Add 1/4 pound of Velveeta cheese for Cheese potato soup.

  2. Here’s a great cobb salad that is so good I like to make it once a week. You can add sliced chicken if you like in the traditional cobb style, but I like it even better without it.

    Ingredients:

    Your favorite greens: I like iceburg lettuce

    green onion sliced into slender circles

    grape tomatoes cut in half (about 8 per salad)

    blue cheese crumbles

    2 crispy bacon strips (cooled and crumbled)

    2 boiled eggs (sliced in quarters)

    1/2 avocado cut into 1 inch pieces

    Layer ingredients over lettuce in the order given. Pour cucumber dressing over all. Enjoy!

    PS: Even my husband loves this salad and asks for it. 😉
